This is a beautiful large art book. And for someone interested in Jung the artist is way better (more complete) than the Red Book. It includes six authoritative essays on a variety of topics (Jung's relationship to Modern Art, Color, Mandala motifs, the Red Book's art, his collections, and the Red Book's illuminated initials), with the bulk of the book being the "Gallery" section (p. 52-177) with an abundance of images and commentary covering a wide range of Jung's doodles, sketches, studies and complete works (paintings and carvings) from ages 9 to 86.And the whole thing is quite wonderful....especially (for me at least) the mature works from during and just after the Red Book era, which are unique and beautifully refined - as the cover picture so clearly demonstrates.PS. the illustrations attached are: "Window into Eternity" (1927) from The Red Book, and the back cover illustration for this one, "Phanes I" (1917) and "Grave Figure for a Dog" (1920)
