***I was provided an ecopy from the publishers via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review***This is a great comic book based off a video game. It doesn't feel like a video game. It feels like its own story. Although, there are a lot of awesome pairings and/or duels that I could tell are referencing the game.I liked that this story takes place in its own world. Big events happen. Characters change. The problem with characters like Superman and Batman is that its usually just the same tale told a little differently. This is a new story that puts Justice League members against each other. My favorite and the most hilarious pairing in this book is Harley Quinn and Green Arrow. I also liked Batman's protégés, Nightwing and Batman's own son, Robin. There are some epically badass battles in this book. I'm not a huge video gamer, but I would love to watch someone play this game just based off of reading this book. I'm definitely interested in reading the next volume. I give this book a 5/5.

After hearing good things about this story, I decided to order it and glad I did. I liked the idea of a sort of "what if" scenario if the super powered heroes decided to take more control over the planet. When Superman, under control of Jokers Kryptonite poison gas, takes a life, he "snaps" and then crosses that line himself. Superman then orders a world wide ceasefire, and if people do not listen, they will be forced to. Other heroes join Superman, some believing that the world should be, for the lack of a better word, ruled, by those that can best protect it. While other heroes believe they don't have the right to go that far just because they have powers. This breaks allegiances, and even friendships among the worlds most popular heroes. Without spoiling anything, my favorite part of the book has to be when Aquaman tried to show Superman that his "orders" do not pertain to him, and show the surface world just who really has the most power. The way Superman and his allies decided to handle this was a surprise to me, and very entertaining to read and see. I highly recommend this book. If you're worried that it might be an exact book version of the game, it is not! Just like movies change things from the books they are based on, this book changes things the way the game did it. If you liked the game, you'll like the book! If you like many different DC characters, (there are a ton in this book, such as, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Aquaman, Shazam, Robin, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman..just to name a few) chances are they are in this story, or will be in future volumes! Give this one a try, you won't be sorry you did.

Wow. Just wow. I'm unfamiliar with the game and bought this due to stumbling across an excerpt on Facebook of a later comic in the series. Most of the artwork is good to exceptional, the high quality page and ink very impressive. The story is quite good (though a bit depressing) If you're on the fence, spend the money. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It's a bit gritty, but there are things that will make you laugh and want to cry. A bit of blood and gore and hey 'spoiler' alert. Lots of heroes die. If you want a really interesting alternate universe take on a 'what-if' version of if Superman 'breaks' due to a devastating loss and decides he's done with being the super-nice guy, when a bit of reality of evil deciding to take advantage of that 'no-kill' superhero rule, this is your story. Although the focus is on Superman and Batman, we get to see Wonder Woman, the Flash, Nightwing, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Aquaman and others. We see some big and famous villains like Joker, and Soloman Grundy and more. Harley Quinn plays an interesting ongoing role as well. You can buy the comics or wait and get the compendiums, which is what I've done and am anxiously awaiting the next release. Serious thumbs up to the series

The Joker has played his last trick, pushing Superman to a point of no return after he is tricked into killing Lois (who is pregnant with their son) and in doing so sets off a bomb which wipes out Metropolis. As a result, Superman sets out to end all wars and to hold every criminal accountable. However, absolute power corrupts, and while his intentions may have good at the start, we can see how even Superman could become a dictator. While I hate the fact that this is based on a video game, ultimately the story presents us with an interesting moral dilemma: Would you support the Man Of Steel who has taken away freedom or Batman who sees the dangerous path Superman is on and tries to stop him?The artwork is good overall. Some parts are great, other parts not so much.I read this on my 7"kindle fire HD with panel view and had no problem reading it.I highly recommend this book.
