This is the second Nice Little Town to focus on the cute abodes of mice. This first book showed houses which were more in line with traditional cottage forest homes – cute and vintage looking.With this little town, as with all the others, the artist switches things up. These mice have a more modern look to the. They are longer and lankier and wear clothes that might look a little more in line with our times.The mice are having fun. Not only are they out and about in the town, they are at the library or getting a quick tan in the town center. Many of the houses have a theme included rather than a just a change of colors.These last two mouse house coloring books tickle my fancy. The others houses in the series are set up for people but I wonder if there might someday be birdhouses or houses for trolls or even for bunny rabbits.Really, the choice can be endless if the artist chooses to explore the avenues available.This is what I found in this coloring book:25 mouse abode designs in the book plus bonus images from other books by the artistPrinted one side of the pagePaper is typical inexpensive quality by CreateSpace printing: white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated.The designs do not merge into the binding.Glue BindingCreate Space Paper/Media QualityAlcohol-based markers bleed through the page quickly.Water-based markers bleed through in spots.Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows on back of the page. India ink can bleed through if you apply heavily or multiple coats.Coloring Pencils work fairly well with this publisher’s paper provided you don’t press extremely hard while coloring. I find that I can layers the same color for deeper pigment or multiple colors and blended easily with a pencil style blending stick. This is true of both oil and wax based pencils. I have also found that hard lead pencils leave dents through the paper.I like to use a blotter when working in this type of book. I use a page of card stock or several sheets of heavyweight paper under my working page. It keeps seeping ink and marring dents from ruining the pages below.
Another great coloring book from Tatiana! There are 25 pages to color, and 17 pages that are samples from her other books. Each page is one sided with a black backside. I have all 5 Nice Little Town books and they are all great!
I LOVE volumes 4 &5....They are by far my favorite 2 books. (I am a beginner) there is just enough detail to keep me interested and some room to add in my own touches. (This book is volume 5). She incorporated more mice and the pics cover more of the page...The colored pics I included are from volume 4 w my own background touches added. Have fun!
This is an amazing coloring book with beautiful images printed in one side only, but the paper is a bit thin, so u have to use a cardboard or other paper between pages when u use it.
Yes! She does it again with #5 of Nice Little Town! If you loved book 4 like I did, you will most definitely have to get your hands on book 5! More of the adorable and whimsy mouse homes!. Love Love Love this book!
Paper is thin but has some tooth to it. The pictures are so cute. Some of it is detail work; prisma's won't work for that in my opinion. I thought this was going to be a smaller book for some reason, but it is a full sized book, the size of copy paper (8.5 x 11). The back of the pages are black, which I like if you are going to use marker. Love this book!
Cute pictures, cheap paper. I'm sorry that I purchased any of these Colors fade after a very short time. Tried gel pens and they seem to soak into paper but don't bleed through Author also encloses up to 17 pages of the opening page (e.g. Easter, Christmas, Lions, etc,). Better use would be old fashioned crayons. Price paid not worth thebooks
Great book l love her books l have to get it as soon as printed,this book was even better if possible.They are on such good paper love the backs black,it the only books l order right away.She does a great job
